Position: Technical Engineer

Scope of Work

The Technical Engineer supports the Sales Consultants in delivering customized system solutions tailored to customer needs. This role focuses on designing efficient, cost-effective, and scalable solutions that enhance customer operations, reduce costs, and improve overall profitability. The Technical Engineer acts as the technical bridge between customers, sales, and implementation teams.

Key Responsibility :

Solution Design & Technical Advisory

• Analyze customer requirements.
• Design customized system solutions (e.g., CCTV, alarm, access control, integrated systems).
• Ensure solutions are aligned with customer objectives such as:
• Operational efficiency
• Cost savings
• Business scalability
• Provide technical recommendations, system architecture, and product selection.
• Prepare technical drawings, schematics, and solution proposals where required.

Pre-Sales Support

• Support Sales Consultants during technical discussions and presentations.
• Participate in site visits when required for complex or large-scale projects.
• Advise on feasibility, system compatibility, and compliance with standards
• Work closely with vendors/principals for technical clarifications (if needed).

Project Execution & Coordination

• Oversee and coordinate technical aspects of project implementation.
• Provide site supervision to ensure installations meet design specifications.
• Liaise with installers, subcontractors, and internal teams for smooth execution.

Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare and maintain:
• Technical proposals and design documentation
• Progress reports for ongoing projects
• As-built drawings and system configurations

Handover & Training

• Prepare handover documents and user manuals.
• Conduct system walkthroughs and basic user training for customers.
• Ensure successful system commissioning and customer acceptance.

Prefer Skills:

1.Experience with large-scale or customized projects.

2.Familiarity with networking (IP-based systems).

3.Vendor management and technical sourcing exposure.

4.Basic costing awareness to align designs with budget constraints.

Requirements:

1.Diploma/Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, IT, or related field.

2.2–5 years of experience in ELV systems (CCTV, alarm, access control, etc.).

3.Strong knowledge of system integration and solution design.

4.Ability to read and produce technical drawings and schematics.

5.Good project coordination and communication skills.

6.Hands-on and problem-solving mindset.

7. Willing to travel when required.

8. Possess own transportation.
