Job Description

  • Lead the definition and execution of quality assurance practices, including planning, test design, and tracking of quality metrics for AI-enabled systems across various platforms and integrations.
  • Work in partnership with Product and Engineering to turn requirements into well-defined, testable criteria, ensuring alignment on expected system behaviour, including how AI-driven features respond in different scenarios.
  • Perform a range of testing activities across frontend and backend components, supporting release cycles and verifying that system workflows, access controls, and interactions function as intended.
  • Develop and enhance test automation capabilities, integrating them into delivery pipelines to enable consistent validation and support high-quality releases.
  • Adopt a risk-focused approach to testing, proactively identifying areas that may impact system reliability, output quality, or data handling.
  • Evaluate system-level characteristics such as performance, scalability, and dependability under different conditions.

The Successful Applicant

A Successful Senior QA Engineer (AI) Should Have

  • A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, with 5+ years of QA experience across web applications, APIs, and distributed systems, ideally within Agile delivery environments.
  • Strong knowledge of software testing principles and techniques, including risk-based testing, boundary value analysis, exploratory testing, and defect lifecycle management.
  • Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and tools for UI and API testing (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Postman, or similar), with the ability to design and maintain scalable test suites.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (such as JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Java) to support automation and test tooling.
  • General understanding of AI-driven systems, including how intelligent features are evaluated, common risks in AI outputs, and approaches to validating their behaviour.
  • Good analytical thinking, with attention to detail and a structured approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively within cross-functional teams in a collaborative development environment.
