Our client is a leading provider of ICT and critical digital infrastructure solutions, supporting the delivery and operation of large-scale data centre, network, and technology environments across Asia-Pacific. As the business continues to expand its presence in Malaysia, it is seeking an experienced Operations Director to lead project delivery, operational performance, customer relationships, commercial outcomes, and organisational capability. This role will be instrumental in scaling the Malaysia business while ensuring excellence in execution, profitability, safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilitie

sOperations & Project Deliver

• yLead the successful execution of multiple ICT and digital infrastructure projects, ensuring delivery against schedule, quality, safety, and commercial objectives
• .Establish operational standards, governance processes, and delivery methodologies to support consistent project outcomes
• .Act as the senior escalation point for operational, customer, and project-related issues

.Business & Commercial Leadershi

• pDrive operational strategy and support the continued growth of the Malaysia business
• .Partner with commercial teams on customer engagement, bid reviews, resource planning, and business development initiatives
• .Build strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders across the ICT and digital infrastructure sectors

.Financial & Resource Managemen

• tOversee forecasting, budgeting, profitability, resource utilisation, and operational performance
• .Ensure effective cost management, risk mitigation, contract compliance, and project controls
• .Lead workforce planning and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and delivery partners to support business growth

.People, Quality & Governanc

• eRecruit, develop, and retain high-performing operational teams
• .Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and customer focus
• .Ensure compliance with customer requirements, regulatory obligations, safety standards, and company policies
• .Provide regular reporting, performance analysis, and operational insights to senior leadership

Requiremen

• Degree qualified with substantial leadership experience in ICT infrastructure, structured cabling, data centres, critical facilities.
• Proven track record managing large-scale project portfolios with accountability for operational performance, profitability, customer satisfaction, and team leadership
• Strong understanding of fiber and copper infrastructure deployment, testing, commissioning, quality management, and subcontractor-led delivery model
• Commercially astute with experience in budgeting, forecasting, contract management, and customer engagement; BICSI RCDD certification and data centre industry experience would be advantageous
