Job Purpose

Getronics is seeking an experienced Microsoft 365 Identity, Data Governance & Compliance Engineer for a dedicated assignment supporting a single customer within the financial-services sector.

The role will provide hands-on technical expertise across Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Purview and associated Microsoft 365 security and compliance services. The engineer will implement, maintain and improve identity, information protection, data lifecycle, governance and compliance controls within the customer environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Microsoft Entra ID identity and access services.

• Configure Conditional Access, multifactor authentication and passwordless authentication.

• Manage Privileged Identity Management, Access Reviews, Entitlement Management and

guest access.

• Support identity lifecycle processes for employees, contractors and third parties.

• Review identity risks, privileged access and excessive permissions.

• Configure Microsoft Purview sensitivity labels, encryption and data-classification controls.

• Implement and maintain retention policies, retention labels and records-

management controls.

• Configure and tune Data Loss Prevention policies across Microsoft 365 .

• Support Microsoft Purview Audit, Content Search, eDiscovery and legal hold requirements.

• Investigate identity, information-protection, DLP and compliance incidents.

• Provide technical evidence for audits, assurance reviews and regulatory assessments.

• Implement approved configuration changes and remediate identified control weaknesses.

• Maintain accurate technical documentation, configuration records and audit evidence.

Desired Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience supporting enterprise Microsoft 365 environments.

• Proven expertise in Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft Purview.

• Experience implementing identity governance, information protection, retention,

records management and DLP.

• Experience within financial services or another highly regulated industry.

• Strong understanding of zero trust, least privilege and privileged-access management.

• Ability to translate security, risk and regulatory requirements into practical technical controls.

• Strong troubleshooting and technical-documentation skills.

• Experience with PowerShell and Microsoft Graph is advantageous.

• SC-300 and SC-400 certifications, or equivalent practical expertise.

• SC-100, MS-102, SC-200 or ITIL Foundation would be advantageous.
