Job Description

• Design and develop customised automation systems (mechanical, electrical, PLC, HMI, and software)
• Commission and deploy high-volume production equipment
• Support manufacturing scale-up and production ramp activities
• Maintain and troubleshoot existing automation equipment to minimise downtime
• Develop and enhance automation software, including PLC and system integration
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using performance data and analytics
• Implement data collection systems and process controls
• Troubleshoot escalations and resolve equipment issues efficiently
• Document and communicate technical learnings and results clearly
  
  

The Successful Applicant

• 5-10 years' experience in automation engineering or related field
• Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechatronics, Automation, or similar)
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• PLC programming (Mitsubishi, Siemens)
• HMI development (Proface, Siemens)
• SCADA and MES integration
• Servo motion systems (Mitsubishi, Yamaha)
• Exposure to Python programming; vision systems knowledge is advantageous
• Experience with SCARA robots (troubleshooting & maintenance)
• Familiarity with factory data systems and performance tracking
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and multitasking abilities
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Thrives in a fast-paced, innovative environment
