Role Description

As an Accounting Intern, you will assist with daily accounting tasks, including data entry, processing invoices, and handling payments. You will help with month-end closing, record-keeping, and reconciliation. This role offers the chance to work closely with the finance team and gain hands-on experience in various accounting functions.


What you will do

  •  Support daily accounting operations and ensure smooth processes.
  •  Assist with month-end closing activities, including posting journal entries into the ERP system.
  •  Perform data entry for accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), general ledger (GL) and treasury functions.
  •  Assist in generating sales invoices, debit notes, and credit notes based on billing requests.
  •  Process vendor invoices and manage payment processing.
  •  Help with reconciliation tasks and preparing accounting schedules.
  •  Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records through filing, data entry and recording.
  •  Collaborate with the Finance team to compile, analyze, and track financial data and information.
  •  Provide assistance with any ad-hoc duties as needed.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Finance, Accountancy, Banking or a related field.
  • Good understanding of Accounting, Finance or Tax.
  • Preferably available for an internship duration of at least 3 months.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication skills in both oral and written English.
  • Self-motivated, organized and able to work well independently.
  • Positive attitude with a professional demeanor.
