AAT (Applied Angstrom Technology) is a start-up semiconductor equipment company with headquarter in Singapore, looking for experienced and versatile Automation Software Engineers in Singapore. This person will play a main role in developing the automation systems for new semiconductor manufacturing equipment (FEOL). At this role, you will partner with other hardware engineer/electrical engineer/system control engineer in system validation.
Job Description:
The ideal candidate shall be able to perform the following:
- Develop automation/machine controlling system for our process equipment, good command of PLC programming, C/C++/C# programming is required. Knowing Python is a plus.
- Troubleshoot on any system controlling or automation issues.
- A broad knowledge of sensors, actuators and gas valves and communications involved is a plus.
- Cooperate with other engineers to complete equipment automation and integrate hardware with software where users can control the equipment.
- Service, training, troubleshooting on customer sites if any.
- Assists with product presentations and sales efforts as needed.
Job Qualifications:
- BS Degree in computer science or related field is minimum, Master is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of equipment motion controlling/automation application and system integration experience in semiconductor equipment company.
- Proficient in PLC programming – Beckhoff (TwinCAT3), Omron, Adept *************
- Proficient in PC programming (C/C++/C#).
- Knowledge in Industrial Standards, Safety Standard is required.
- Knowledge of industrial automation- SECS/GEM is required.
- Experience in the semiconductor equipment industry is required, FEOL is preferred.
- Deep understanding of algorithms and data structures.
- Familiarity working with distributed systems, big data and large-scale systems will be a plus.
- Rigor in high quality code, automated testing, and other Engineering best practices, ability to write reusable code components.
- Ability to navigate a dynamic and at times ambiguous environment that requires frequent multitasking, prioritization, and a proactive mentality.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of internal partners, team members, and suppliers.
- Self-starting individual, with ability to take initiative and work independently.
- Proven relationship management skills, including navigating the organization and influencing decisions.
Pay: $5,000.00 - $7,500.00 per month
