JOB SUMMARY
To support the Maintenance Department in carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance activities, ensuring all terminal facilities, electrical and mechanical systems are operating efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections on terminal facilities, equipment, and building systems.
- Carry out basic troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance works for electrical, mechanical, and related systems.
- Monitor the condition of facilities and equipment to ensure continuous and safe operation.
- Identify, report, and escalate equipment faults, defects, or operational issues to the supervisor promptly.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are performed in accordance with safety, health, and electrical safety regulations.
- Assist in maintaining maintenance records, inspection reports, and documentation accurately and timely.
- Support contractors and service providers during maintenance, repair, or installation works within the terminal.
- Conduct daily inspections to ensure facilities and equipment are functioning properly and meet operational requirements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) requirements, and relevant statutory regulations.
- Assist in emergency response and maintenance-related incidents when required.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance facility reliability and operational efficiency.
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the superior from time to time.
REQUIREMENTS
- Certificate or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, Facilities Management, or any related field.
- Minimum one (1) year of working experience in maintenance, facilities management, building operations, or related technical fields. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Able to perform preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and basic repair works.
- Knowledge of electrical safety practices, workplace safety requirements, and Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) regulations.
- Familiarity with building services systems such as electrical, mechanical, air-conditioning, plumbing, and fire protection systems will be an added advantage.
- Good problem-solving and technical diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and as part of a team.
- Physically fit and able to perform maintenance duties within an operational terminal environment.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to prepare maintenance records and reports.
- Experience in facilities management, transportation terminals, commercial buildings, airports, shopping malls, or related environments will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of ISO standards, safety compliance requirements, and quality management systems will be an added advantage.
Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM2,100.00 per month
