About the Opportunity
We are representing a premier group of company on a highly confidential executive search. We are seeking a strategic, visionary Vice President of Training & Development to take absolute ownership of the group's learning ecosystem, corporate training center, and long-term talent succession framework.
This high-visibility role reports to the senior executive team and is designed for an expert who excels at building organizational capability and driving workforce performance across a massive, high-volume consumer-facing footprint.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Training Architecture: Partner directly with operations leadership to identify talent gaps and design a comprehensive master training and development plan aligned with business growth.
- Modern Instructional Design: Plan, design, and develop enterprise-wide training programs, utilizing a diverse mix of traditional and modern methodologies (classroom training, coaching, digital learning platforms, and simulations).
- Performance ROI & Analytics: Evaluate the overall effectiveness of training programs, measure the behavioral and performance impact on employees, and implement continuous data-driven improvements.
- Leadership Development: Oversee external strategic partnerships to schedule and deliver advanced management tracks, soft-skills workshops, and leadership acceleration modules.
- Budget & Governance: Manage the full training center fiscal budget, ensure the curriculum database remains cutting-edge, and maintain flawless training tracking infrastructure.
- Talent Management Integration: Support the broader HR ecosystem by aligning all learning initiatives with strategic competency mapping and internal succession planning.
Job Requirements
- Proven Leadership Track Record: Minimum 10+ years of progressive HR/L&D experience, with a solid track record as a Training Director, Head of Learning & Development, or VP within a massive, high-volume ecosystem (such as Hospitality, Integrated Resorts, Retail, or large conglomerated operations).
- Language Proficiency: Professional fluency in Mandarin (spoken, reading, and writing) is highly preferred to interface effectively with key regional stakeholders and review specialized curriculum documentation.
- Academic Foundation: Possess a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Human Resources Management, Education, Organizational Development, or a highly related field.
- Core Competencies: Comprehensive understanding of advanced Talent Management principles, succession planning frameworks, and adult learning theories.
- Organizational Skills: Exceptional leadership and project management capabilities, with a proven ability to orchestrate multiple enterprise-wide programs simultaneously under minimal supervision.
- Mobility: Must be currently based in Kuala Lumpur or Selangor, or possess a strong willingness to relocate closer to the destination asset property.
