Position Summary:
The Materials & Inventory Assistant is responsible for providing support in the coordination and control of inventory-related activities within the Materials & Stock Inventory Control department. This includes maintaining accurate inventory records, managing stock documentation, and ensuring adherence to the department’s procedures.
Responsibilities:
1. Coordinate the receiving and issuance of inventory documentation, ensuring accurate data entry of stock movements into the inventory system on a daily basis.
2. Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy of stock levels and identify discrepancies. Assist in implementing inventory control measures to minimize shrinkage and optimize stock turnover.
3. Involve in resolving any discrepancies between physical counts and system records. Create a monthly cycle count sheet and verify that the system data and physical counts are accurate.
4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to inventory transactions, including receiving, issuing, and transfer of stock materials. Ensure all documentation is properly filed and archived for easy retrieval.
5. Collaborate with other departments such as purchasing and production, to ensure alignment of inventory management activities with overall business objectives.
6. Planning and monitoring of inventory levels to support material section on material & raise Purchase Requisition.
7. Posting GRN matching with Purchase order, delivery order and invoice.
8. Prepare and distribute CNC job sheet & time cards to respective Production Section
Experience:
1. Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in purchasing, inventory management, or warehouse operations.
2. Strong attention to detail is essential for accurately recording inventory transactions, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring data accuracy.
3. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve department’s goals, and support inventory management processes.
4. Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Excel are necessary for recording, analyzing, and reporting inventory data.
