Occupational Safety & Health (OSH) Coordinator

BASIC SALARY

• RM3,500 - RM5,000

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a dedicated and competent OSH Coordinator to oversee and implement Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) requirements at our workplace. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations, promoting a safe working environment, and supporting continuous improvement in workplace safety performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate and implement OSH policies and procedures in accordance with OSHA requirements.
• Conduct hazard identification, risk assessment, and risk control (HIRARC).
• Monitor workplace safety compliance and report unsafe conditions.
• Conduct safety briefing, toolbox meetings, and safety awareness programs.
• Assist in incident investigation and prepare safety reports.
• Ensure PPE compliance among workers and contractors.
• Liaise with relevant authorities such as DOSH/JKKP when required.
• Maintain safety documentation and records for audit purposes.

REQUIREMENTS

• Possess at least Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) certificate (NIOSH).
• OSH Coordinator certificate.
• Knowledge in Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 and related regulations.
• Able to prepare HIRARC, safety reports, and compliance documentation.
• Good communication and supervisory skills.
• Able to work independently and handle site/workplace safety matters.

EDUCATION

• Minimum SPM / Sijil / Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health or related field
• Certificate in Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) – NIOSH (required)
• OSH Coordinator certification (required)
• Have Green book certificate is Added Advantage
• Additional safety training certificates will be an added advantage

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Experience in electrical or construction industry.
• Familiar with DOSH / MyKKP requirements.
• Strong understanding of workplace risk management.
• Able to conduct safety training and briefing.

REMUNERATION

• Salary: Negotiable based on experience
• EPF, SOCSO & EIS provided
• Allowances (if applicable)
