What You Will Do


At SPL, you are an integral part of our team - driving meaningful projects and witnessing the tangible difference your work makes. As a Security Operations Manager, CISO Office you will oversee security operations to ensure continuous monitoring, detection, response, and mitigation of cyber threats across transit and digital payments, in compliance with MAS and other regulatory standards. You will also balance risk management with business enablement, driving security maturity while supporting digital innovation and growth.


Key Tasks You Will Be Involved In


1. Security Operations Management

  • Oversee daily cybersecurity operations, including monitoring, threat detection, incident response, IAM, and vulnerability management.
  • Manage external security providers (e.g., SOC, digital forensics).
  • Ensure effective use of security tools (SIEM, DLP, IAM, PAM, EDR, SOAR, threat intelligence).
  • Develop and maintain incident management processes, playbooks, and procedures.
  • Lead incident investigations, coordinating containment, eradication, and recovery.
  • Conduct post-incident reviews to identify gaps and drive improvements.


2. Security Technology & Process Improvement

  • Drive improvement programs and implementations on security operations processes, technologies, automation, and AI/ML-based threat detection and response.
  • Improve detection coverage and reduce false positives. Drive development and tuning of detection rules and use cases.
  • Analyse emerging threats and risk, initiate mitigation actions, and solutions.


3. Leadership & Management

  • Ensure compliance with cybersecurity regulations and standards (e.g., MAS TRM, PDPA, PCI DSS, ISO 27001).
  • Oversee third-party and vendor security risk management, ensuring adherence to security obligations and requirements.
  • Develop security metrics and executive reporting; present risks, incidents, and performance to senior leadership.
  • Lead and mentor the cybersecurity team, driving continuous learning, training, and a strong security culture.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration with IT and business teams.

This role might be for you if you have:

  • Strong training in Computer Science, Information Security and related field.
  • Relevant professional certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CISM, CSOC, GCIA, GCIH.
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in IT and cyber security management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in managing IT security operations and incidents, operating SIEM, XDR and SOAR platforms.
  • Demonstrated technical security proficiency in cloud platforms (Azure & AWS) and infrastructure.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Passion for technology innovation, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
