Sales Manager / Business Development Manager
Singapore | Full-Time | Permanent
Salary: Up to SGD 7,000 + Performance Incentives
We are partnering with an established precision engineering and optics manufacturing company to identify an experienced Sales Manager / Business Development Manager to support strategic business growth and customer expansion across regional and international markets.
This role is ideal for commercially driven professionals with a strong background in technical sales, strategic account development, and business growth within advanced manufacturing, photonics, semiconductor, medical device, or precision engineering industries.
Key Responsibilities
• Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities within photonics, semiconductor equipment, medical devices, industrial imaging, and advanced manufacturing sectors
• Develop and execute strategic account plans to grow key customer relationships and increase market penetration
• Build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders, including Directors, Vice Presidents, and C-level executives
• Position the company's capabilities in precision optics, optical sub-assemblies, ODM solutions, and system-level integration
• Identify opportunities early in the product development cycle and influence projects prior to RFQ stages
• Collaborate closely with engineering, project, and operations teams to develop technical and commercial solutions for customers
• Monitor industry trends, supply chain developments, and market opportunities to support long-term business growth
• Support commercial negotiations, contract discussions, and strategic customer engagements
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related discipline
• Minimum 8 years of experience in technical sales, business development, or strategic account management
• Proven track record in securing new business opportunities and growing strategic customer accounts
• Strong ability to engage and influence senior decision-makers within complex organisations
• Experience managing long sales cycles involving technical products, solutions, or capital equipment
• Strong commercial acumen, including pricing strategy, contract negotiation, and margin management
• Experience within photonics, optics, semiconductor equipment, precision engineering, medical devices, industrial automation, or advanced manufacturing environments will be highly advantageous
• Willingness to travel regionally for customer engagement and business development activities
