We are seeking for a suitably qualified Superintendent for Logistics Operations to lead, integrate and be accountable for the end‑to‑end logistics function, encompassing logistics operations delivery and independent logistics assurance, supporting offshore and onshore activities.
Key Purpose:
The role ensures that logistics services (marine, aviation, and land transportation) are delivered safely, reliably, and cost‑effectively, while robust governance, compliance, and assurance frameworks are established, applied, and independently verified.
The role provides clear leadership, strategic direction, and decision‑making authority, while maintaining appropriate segregation of duties between operations execution and assurance oversight in line with industry best practices.
Responsibilities:
Leadership & Governance
- Provide overall leadership for the Logistics Section, integrating logistics operations and logistics assurance under a unified governance and accountability framework.
- Establish clear role boundaries, authority levels, and escalation mechanisms to ensure effective separation between execution and assurance activities.
- Act as the primary logistics focal point for management, regulators, PSC partners, and key stakeholders.
Logistics Operations Oversight
- Accountable for the safe, reliable, and efficient delivery of logistics operations, including marine, aviation, and land transportation services.
- Ensure logistics resources, assets, contracts, and personnel are planned, mobilized, and managed to meet operational and business requirements.
- Oversee marine execution through the Senior Executive Marine, ensuring effective vessel utilization, contractor performance, and operational readiness.
- Accountable for logistics cost control and expenditure in accordance with the approved Work Program & Budget (WP&B).
Logistics Assurance & Compliance Oversight
- Provide leadership and strategic oversight to the Logistics Assurance function, ensuring its independence, objectivity, and authority are maintained.
- Endorse logistics governance frameworks, assurance plans, and compliance strategies.
- Ensure robust processes are in place for independent audits, inspections, risk assessments, and compliance reviews.
- Review assurance outcomes, trends, and systemic risks, and ensure appropriate actions are taken by Operations.
Risk Management & Regulatory Compliance
- Accountable for overall logistics risk management across operations, ensuring risks are identified, assessed, and managed within approved tolerance.
- Ensure compliance with applicable statutory requirements, industry standards, and company policies across all logistics activities.
- Act as escalation authority for high risk logistics activities, assurance findings, or regulatory issues.
Improvement Initiatives & Strategic Development
- Champion logistics improvement initiatives, digitalization efforts, and efficiency programs that enhance safety, transparency, and performance.
- Ensure logistics governance initiatives are effectively executed and embedded in operations.
- Ensure lessons learned, assurance findings, and benchmarking insights are translated into sustainable improvements.
People, Capability & Performance Management
- Lead, coach, and develop Logistics Operations and Logistics Assurance personnel, fostering a strong culture of safety, accountability, and professionalism.
- Ensure capability development, succession planning, and knowledge retention across the Logistics Section.
- Set performance expectations and monitor delivery against agreed targets and KPIs.
Job Requirement
- Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Marine, Engineering, Aviation, or a related discipline
- OR Certificate of Competency (COC) Class I (Deck or Engine) Unlimited, recognized by the relevant Maritime Authority.
- Minimum 12 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry with substantial exposure to offshore logistics operations and governance.
- Proven leadership experience managing complex logistics functions, including contractor managed operations and assurance activities.
- Strong working knowledge of offshore logistics regulatory requirements, industry standards, and governance frameworks.
