Job Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled Linux Network Operations Engineer to support and manage enterprise-level Linux-based network environments. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Linux administration, networking, and security tools, along with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a fast-paced, global environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support Linux-based systems (primarily RHEL) in a production environment.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve Linux and network-related issues.
- Administer and optimize Linux networking configurations and performance.
- Work with advanced networking and security tools such as Cilium, Suricata, nftables, and Zeek.
- Support firewall configurations and security policies using Fortinet or Cisco technologies.
- Manage and troubleshoot Remote Access VPN solutions (Cisco, Fortinet, OpenVPN).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure network stability, security, and performance.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures for recurring issues.
- Ensure system compliance with security standards and best practices.
- Maintain accurate documentation for configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps.
- Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes.
- Support global operations, including shift-based coverage if required.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 8–10 years of experience in Linux system administration and network operations.
- Strong expertise in Linux (RHEL) administration and troubleshooting.
- Solid understanding of Linux networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, firewalling).
- Hands-on experience with:
- NixOS
- Cilium
- Suricata
- nftables
- Zeek
- Intermediate experience with Fortinet or Cisco firewalls.
- Experience in configuring and managing Remote Access VPNs (Cisco, Fortinet, OpenVPN).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and global environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to Zscaler and SProxy technologies.
- Red Hat Certification (RHCSA/RHCE) is highly preferred.
- Experience working in multinational or enterprise environments.
- Knowledge of automation or scripting is a plus.
