Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Technical Project Engineer role based in Kuala Lumpur. The Technical Project Engineer will manage and support engineering projects involving process control equipment, measurement instruments, and pumps, ensuring timely and quality delivery. Daily responsibilities include preparing technical proposals, reviewing specifications, and coordinating with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to clarify technical requirements. The role involves providing technical support and troubleshooting for installed equipment, conducting site visits, and assisting with commissioning and testing activities when required. The Technical Project Engineer will also monitor project progress, manage documentation, support after-sales service, and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering and project workflows.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a technical engineering, application engineering, or project management role.
  • Strong practical knowledge of industrial valves, pressure and flow measurement instruments, pumps, and process instrumentation systems.
  • Experience in valve sizing and technical proposal preparation is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with project management principles and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for continuous learning and staying updated on industry trends and technologies.
  • Excellent command of English (spoken and written) is required.
  • Mandarin language proficiency is an added advantage for coordination with suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel within Malaysia and overseas when required.
