Responsibilities

The Role

Responsible for the management of technical matters :-

·    provide technical support

·    technical team’s skill and competency development

·    technical training within the company, to the customers and distributors
·    warranty administration.


Job Description

Technical Support

·     Provide overall technical support and guidance with assistance from Team Leads to Technical team, Equipment Sales& CT Service sales personnel

·     Assess service quality level performed by technicians

·     Overall management of equipment commissioning procedure and related activities

·     Overall management of Engineering Change (ECB) procedure and implementation.

·     Maintain and upkeep an efficient library on products, technical information, spare parts manual, ECB updates and other related technical documents. Ensure smooth information flow to all concerned.

·     Improve resellers technical personnel on service capability and professionalism

·     Responsible for the establishment and implementation of all quality procedures related to technical support.

·     Maintain relevant records and report on regular intervals any technical problems with high incidence rates.

·     Carry out periodic technical assessment of sub-contractors / suppliers for outsourced technical support.

·     Co-ordinate with person(s) responsible to reinforce strength and improve weaknesses in the workflow chain.

·     Establish strong relationship with Product Companies for divisional support and technical information flow.

Warranty administration :-

·    Responsible for warranty assessment / evaluation and approve FNS

·    Coordinate and assist with all warranty issues with the customers and Product Companies as needed.

·    Ensure all warranty jobs are closed out timely and with reports and claims to the factory.

Technical Training :-

·     Determine technical training requirements of AC technicians, Distributors’ technicians and customers. Develop training programs to improve competence level of the team.

·     Implement procedures to ensure that training activities are performed in an organized and structured manner.

·    Document and maintain a Technical Library of all training materials.

Knowledge

· Electric-mechanical troubleshooting skill

· An understanding of computers and associated systems (Lotus Notes, Excel, Word, etc), business systems, distribution channels and accounting practices.


Qualification

· BS Engineering (Mechanical, Electric-Mechanical discipline) or equivalent work experience.
