Overall Job Responsibility Supervise production operation in allocated area of the plant or line to ensure products are made according to quality and quantity specification in a timely manner. Responsibilities 1) Productivity and Output - Identify and update to Superintendent the required resources to meet planned volume, schedule and yield. - Support Superintendent in monitoring performance indicators on yield, efficiency, OT hour/headcount, WIP holding days and material usage. - Implement improvement plans to meet performance indicators. - Responsible to provide visible and real-time feedback to help subordinates to meet expected performance. - Communicate with fellow supervisors and their related parties to achieve the planned requirement. 2) Quality - Overall responsible to ensure the operation and output meet the quality requirement and objective. - Make necessary correction to the operations or operators to correct any quality problem seen. - React immediately to rectify causes when encounter recurring quality issue. - Built in quality on the line by exercising leadership and commitment to quality. - Support Superintendent in performing internal quality audit to ensure operations comply to specification. 3) Training and Operators Welfare - Monitor the operators' need by providing the necessary motivation, coaching, training and feedback to achieve the desired outcome. - Provide clear and user-friendly instructions to ensure requirements are well understood. - Attend to operators' attendance and discipline on the line to maintain a healthy, competent and motivated workforce. - Conduct on job training for any new operators or cross train in the operation. 4) Housekeeping/Safety - Ensure good housekeeping at all times. - Ensure safety requirements are complied by all personnel in the area and elevate safety concerns immediately to superior for immediate action. - Ensure that all direct materials and indirect materials are stored in proper location and condition. 5) Environment - Ensure that all operators are appropriately to carry out their daily activities that may create a significant impact to the environment. - Ensure that any waste and rejected parts are properly stored and scrapped. - Highlight to operator any activities in the company that may be contrary to the environmental policy. 6) Others - Participate in companywide activities. - Any other duties or responsibilities assigned by superior from time to time. Requirements - Education Level: Minimum SPM or Diploma or Degree Holder or minimum 10-12 years education level. - Working Experience: Minimum 2-3 years experience in similar Production environment - Skillset: Good communication skills /Confident decision making /Ability to perform production recovery plan.
