Location: Penang / Selangor
Salary range: MYR 4,500 - 8,500
About the role
We are looking for a Solutions Consultant to join our Solutions Department and serve as the bridge between our customers, partners, sales team, and engineering. You will own the Customer's solutions and integration design requests, support presales demonstrations, manage dealer enhancements, research global compliance requirements, and serve as the primary technical advisor to third-party partners seeking to integrate with the Xilnex platform.
This is a client-facing, process-owning role for someone who is equally comfortable writing a scope of work document, presenting a live demo, advising on international compliance frameworks, and guiding external partners through the full range of Xilnex integration approaches — from REST API and webhooks through to database connectors and file-based synchronisation.
What you will do
1. Integration & Solution scoping and design
- Receive and triage integration requests from customers and third-party partners; conduct discovery meetings to capture business objectives, technical requirements, and integration feasibility.
- Design end-to-end solution plans — including implementation approach, integration architecture, and deliverable milestones— and validate scope with internal engineering before committing to customers.
- Produce SOW documents covering functional requirements, integration specifications, success criteria, and any assumptions or exclusions; obtain formal sign-off before work begins.
- Manage dealer and partner enhancement requests from advisory meeting through to formal change request issuance, delivery tracking, and documented acceptance before closure.
- Proactively communicate milestone status and escalate blockers to relevant stakeholders before they affect timelines.
2. Presales support
- Co-present product demos with the sales team as the technical voice — handling system architecture questions, addressing integration concerns, and tailoring demo flows to each prospect's industry and use case.
- Lead requirements-gathering sessions with prospective customers and support solution proposal presentations.
3. Global system compliance research & proposal
Main market coverage: Malaysia · Singapore · Indonesia · Thailand · Vietnam · Philippines · other markets
- Research and monitor others country-specific compliance requirements — including GST/SST/VAT structures and e-invoicing mandates such as MyInvois (MY), Faktur Pajak (ID), and e-Tax Invoice (TH) — and translate findings into actionable system change proposals for product and engineering.
- Advise customers and dealers on compliance configuration options across jurisdictions; liaise with tax consultants, government portals, and certified e-invoicing providers (e.g. LHDN intermediaries, PEPPOL access points) to verify findings.
- Maintain a living compliance register per market tracking regulation status, enforcement dates, penalty exposure, and system readiness; present gap analyses and roadmap proposals to internal stakeholders proactively.
4. Xilnex third-party partner integration advisory
Integration approaches: REST API · Webhook · DB connector · File / CSV sync · SDK / plugin
- Onboard third-party partners (loyalty platforms or e-commerce providers), assess each use case, and recommend the most suitable Xilnex integration approach.
- Produce partner-facing advisory documents covering recommended approach, data schema, authentication method, endpoint references, and implementation steps.
- Support partners through the build — reviewing technical designs, troubleshooting issues, and validating against agreed functional and data quality requirements.
- Coordinate with Xilnex engineering to clarify API capabilities and escalate requests needing platform-level changes; maintain a partner integration register and define certification criteria for go-live sign-off.
