Job Description
Disciplinary Support, via a restorative practice approach:
• Supporting late-coming, in-house suspension and detentions, and support pull-out programmes
• Serves as a mentor for students requiring closer guidance.
• Patrolling classroom blocks, canteen, basketball courts and field during recess and lunch times
• Conducts physical monitoring and patrolling on school premises and neighborhood after school curriculum hours.
Investigative & Case Support:
• When incidences happen, to support investigations and support students via the Restorative Practices approach by obtaining student and witness statements for Student Management KPs for follow up
• Closing the loop by communicating with parents, staff and students where needed
Reporting Structures and Expectations:
• Deployment & Reporting: DSO will report operationally to In-Charge of Student Management Committee (HOD/SM)
• Deployment schedule will be determined by the school in accordance with the termly school timetable and events.
Performance Expectations:
• DSO is expected to demonstrate professionalism, discretion and good judgement
• Engage students in respectful and positive ways
• Uphold confidentiality and fairness during case investigation
• Collaborate effectively with teachers and SM committee
Requirements
Must have former working experience in enforcement agency (at least 5 years).
• Experience in working as a team and able to maintain work processes.
Technical skills: Use of MS word, MS Excel, emails and data entry
Mondays to Thursdays: 8:00 am to 4:30pm, inclusive of 30 min lunch break
• Fridays: 8:00am to 2:30pm, inclusive of 30 min lunch break
