Account Assistant

Location: Petaling Jaya, Selangor

Employment Type: Full-Time (On-Site)

Salary Range: RM2,800 – RM3,000 per month


Role Description


We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Account Assistant to join our finance team in Petaling Jaya. The successful candidate will support the daily accounting and finance operations of the company, ensuring accurate record-keeping and timely financial reporting.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing petty cash transactions and reconciliations.
  • Assisting with credit control and collection activities.
  • Processing invoices, payments, receipts, and other financial transactions.
  • Maintaining accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
  • Assisting in monthly financial reporting and account reconciliations.
  • Liaising with clients, auditors, bankers, and other stakeholders when required.
  • Supporting compliance and administrative requirements related to trust and corporate services.
  • Performing other accounting and administrative duties assigned by management.


Qualifications

  • Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of accounting experience is preferred; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Proficiency in accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
  • Experience in handling petty cash, accounts receivable, and accounts payable functions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Familiarity with SQL Accounting Software is preferred.
  • Experience in trust services, financial services, audit, or corporate services will be an added advantage.
