Job Description

Responsibilities

About the role

We are seeking a Project Coordinator (Electrical) to join our team at CHENG SENG ELECTRIC CO PTE LTD. In this role, you will play a crucial part in coordinating and managing electrical engineering projects from initiation through to completion. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, site personnel and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This position is essential to maintaining our operational excellence and supporting the successful delivery of our electrical engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

  1. Tender of projects including measuring quantities, gathering and compiling project information, and attending site surveys
  2. Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, and deployment of resources to ensure projects progress smoothly and meet deadlines
  3. Understand product specifications across different brands and suppliers.
  4. Prepare and maintain project documentation, including Risk Assessment, Method of Statement, specifications, technical drawings etc.
  5. Maintain good relation and effective communication with client, project teams, subcon and suppliers
  6. Monitor project budget tracking and cost management activities
  7. Conduct site visits to assess project risks and issues, resolve site problems, and provide practical solutions
  8. Maintaining project records and databases for reference and compliance purposes
  9. Ensure project deadlines are met in accordance with client specifications and standards
  10. Ensure projects are delivered in compliance with all legal and safety requirements and regulations
  11. Contribute to process improvements and best practice implementation within the projects team
  12. Any other duties as required.

Requirements

  1. Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, or related engineering discipline
  2. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in electrical project coordination or M&E contracting
  3. Good knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and business processes
  4. Positive mindset and good working attitude
  5. Strong leadership and communication skills
  6. Able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  7. Problem-solving mindset and ability to adapt to changing project requirements
  8. Faster learner with strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in tight timeline
  9. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Project management tools
  10. Experience in LV panel board fabrication (SS638 / IEC 61439) is an advantage
  11. Experience in High Tension (HT) projects is an advantage
