 The engineer will provide critical experimental support for the development and operation of low-temperature optical and microwave spectroscopy platforms for rare-earth-ion quantum memory systems. The role is essential to meeting project milestones related to long-coherence quantum storage and spectroscopy measurements.

• Support QM CRP WP1 experimental activities on rare-earth-ion quantum memory materials.
• Perform optical and microwave spectroscopy measurements on erbium-doped crystals at cryogenic temperatures.
• Assist in the setup, operation, and maintenance of laser, microwave, and cryogenic experimental systems.
• Participate in data acquisition, analysis, and experimental optimization.
• Support integration and testing of RF, microwave, and optical components.
• Assist in laboratory management, procurement, and safety compliance.
• Contribute to technical documentation, reports, and presentations.

Requirement:

• Strong interest in experimental quantum technologies and low-temperature physics.
• Experience with laboratory instrumentation, optics, RF/microwave electronics, or cryogenic systems is advantageous.
• Familiarity with data analysis and programming tools such as MATLAB or Python is preferred

• Good problem-solving and hands-on experimental skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary research team.
• Willingness to support experiments during extended measurement sessions when required.
