Responsibilities
Job Overview:
The Associate Instrumentation & Controls Engineer is responsible for basic instrumentation engineering design, analysis and development of an assigned scope of work on a McDermott project. Work includes (but not limited to) P&ID development along with associated instrument index maintenance, instrument data sheet and calculation development and supplier document review of vendor packages.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Prepare the development of key project deliverables, including (but not limited to) the following:
- Vessel Level Sketches
- Instrument Index
- Instrument Data Sheets
- Instrument Calculations (i.e. Valves, Flowmeters, etc.)
- P&ID Development
- Participate in project reviews, including (but not limited to) the following:
- P&ID Reviews
- Development and support of vendor packages, including (but not limited to) the following:
- Create requisition packages for basic instrumentation
- Perform the review of supplier documents for basic instrumentation and mechanical packages
- Site support, including (but not limited to) the following:
- Provide technical support to Construction personnel for I&C engineering related inquiries as needed
Essential Qualifications and Education:
- Accredited engineering degree may be required by specific regions
- Typically 0 - 1 years of I&C engineering experience
- Working knowledge of the content and application of standards, codes and guidelines, including IEC, ISA, NEC, NFPA, IEEE, ANSI and API Experience with Smart Plant Instrumentation (SPI), InstruCalc, MS Office Suite including Excel and Word
Preferred Qualifications and Education:
- BSEE, BSCE or BSME degree is preferred Experience at site during construction and commissioning is preferred
