Quantity Surveyor Executive
Job Description
Radical Internetwork Sdn Bhd is looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Quantity Surveyor (QS) Executive to support tendering, cost estimation, contract administration, and commercial management activities for ICT Infrastructure, ELV, Data Centre, Security Systems, and related engineering projects.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing cost estimates, evaluating quotations, managing project commercial documentation, and coordinating with internal teams, suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure project profitability and commercial compliance.
Responsibilities
Review tender documents, specifications, drawings, and client requirements.
- Perform quantity take-off and prepare Bills of Quantities (BQ) for structured cabling, network infrastructure, CCTV, security systems, IoT solutions, UPS systems, and related ELV works.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgeting, and pricing analysis for tender submissions.
- Source and obtain quotations from suppliers, subcontractors, and manufacturers.
- Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations to ensure technical and commercial compliance.
- Coordinate with Design Engineers, BIM/Drafters, Sales Team, and vendors to develop competitive and technically compliant proposals.
- Identify commercial risks, exclusions, assumptions, and pricing gaps during tender preparation.
- Prepare tender costing sheets, commercial proposals, and management approval documents.
- Assist in value engineering exercises to optimize project costs while maintaining compliance with client requirements.
- Participate in tender clarification meetings and respond to commercial queries from clients and consultants.
- Maintain a database of historical costing, material pricing, labour rates, and supplier information.
- Support contract review activities prior to project award.
- Prepare project budget and cost summary for handover to the execution team upon project award.
- Evaluate and certify supplier and subcontractor claims, invoices, and progress payments.
- Prepare progress claims, payment applications, and supporting documentation for submission to clients.
- Manage variation orders (VO), change requests, and additional work claims.
- Prepare cost impact assessments for design changes and scope variations.
- Support contract administration activities including notices, extensions of time, and commercial communications.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, Procurement Teams, and Finance Department on project commercial matters.
- Prepare final accounts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors

- Perform ad hoc duties and responsibilities assigned by Management from time to time.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
