(Singapore students, as well as graduates, are welcome to apply. We've had interns from NTU, NUS, Singapore Polytechnic, and SMU in the past. Looking esp. for interns who can render from mid-August 2026 onwards (otherwise, you're still welcome to apply).)
Our Purpose: Helping innovators inspire minds, drive change, and enrich lives through thoughtfully choreographed content.
We're Mediashock – a team of analytical minds who found our place in the creative industry by prioritizing effectiveness over flash. We help B2B tech and engineering companies scale their reach and influence through content that actually works.
We dive deep into our clients' industries, often understanding their technology as thoroughly as they do themselves. Our work spans strategic communications, key visual design, hybrid events, and content strategies across the APAC region.
The Role
We're seeking a Creative Intern who learns from our process of transforming complex technical concepts into tangible proof-of-concept work for our clients. Reporting directly to our Head of Creative, you'll be an essential part of our ideation process while also having the practical skills to bring concepts to life through videography and editing.
This isn't a role for those who prioritize polish over purpose. We need someone who can embrace rapid prototyping in work that communicates the strategic thinking behind our ideas. You'll need to be comfortable with ambiguity, adaptable enough to shift between different responsibilities, and analytically minded enough to understand the technical subjects we tackle.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in ideation sessions for new project pitches and briefs, contributing both creative and practical perspectives
- Develop proof-of-concept work that effectively communicates our strategic approach to clients
- Handle videography and editing to translate complex technical concepts into visual narratives
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to bring successful ideas into reality
- Adapt quickly to changing project needs, sometimes taking on different roles as required
- Apply analytical thinking to ensure all creative concepts align with clients' business objectives
- Balance creative exploration with practical execution within time and resource constraints
What We're Looking For
- Having some prior experience in projects involving in a creative role
- Practical skills in videography and video editing (portfolio examples required)
- Keen to rapidly prototype ideas and create effective proof-of-concept work
- Experience working on technical or B2B content (preferred but not essential)
- A fast learner who can quickly grasp new concepts, tools, and methodologies
- Someone who thrives in ambiguous situations rather than requiring detailed direction
- A team player who values effectiveness over ego
You'll Thrive Here If
- You enjoy the challenge of making complex technical concepts understandable through visual storytelling
- You're comfortable with "good enough" when developing prototypes and can resist the urge to over-polish too early
- You find satisfaction in the process of problem-solving, not just the final output
- You can shift gears quickly between different types of work without losing momentum
- You're intellectually curious and eager to learn about technical industries and subjects
- You value substance over style and effectiveness over aesthetics
- You're willing to admit what you don't know and actively seek to fill knowledge gaps
This Might Not Be The Role For You If
- You need clearly defined roles and responsibilities with little variation
- You're uncomfortable with rapid prototyping and prefer to spend time perfecting your work
- You struggle to grasp technical concepts or find them uninteresting
- You measure success primarily through aesthetic appeal rather than strategic effectiveness
- You prefer working independently rather than collaboratively
- You find ambiguity stressful rather than energizing
