Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Human Resources Manager role based in Kuala Lumpur. The Human Resources Manager will oversee the end-to-end employee lifecycle, including workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding. The role involves advising leaders on HR policies, labor law compliance, and employee relations, as well as managing disciplinary and grievance processes in a fair and consistent manner. The Human Resources Manager will design and implement HR programs such as learning and development, talent management, and succession planning to support organizational growth. The role also includes developing and updating HR policies, managing HR data and reporting, supporting compensation and benefits administration, and driving employee engagement initiatives that reflect the bank’s values.

Qualifications

  • Solid experience in core HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations.
  • Knowledge of HR policies, employment and labor regulations in Malaysia, and best practices in compliance and risk management.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills to manage sensitive employee matters with professionalism and discretion.
  • Proficiency in HR data management, HRIS systems, and basic reporting or analytics to support data-driven HR decisions.
  • Ability to design and deliver HR programs in learning and development, talent management, and employee engagement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field; professional HR certification is an added advantage.
  • Prior experience in banking, financial services, or cooperative institutions is beneficial but not mandatory.
