A recently created Group Financial Controller role has become available for an established, fast-growing PE backed organisation in the Technology world who have operations in the Far East & globally are going through an excting period of transformation. This client is looking for a Big4/Top10 trained Chartered Accountant who's seeking a unique opportunity to work in Malaysia/Thailand and has strong market knowledge of the region.

The Group Finance Controller plays a pivotal leadership role in overseeing the organisation's global financial operations, ensuring timely and accurate reporting, compliance with international and local accounting standards, and robust internal controls. The position is responsible for maintaining a strong governance framework across entities, leading group consolidation, improving processes, and enabling strategic decisions through accurate and insightful financial information.

A critical mandate is to design, build, and complete a secure, audit-ready Group “Data Room” and a scalable Finance & Non-Finance Data Warehouse, enabling analytics, due diligence readiness, and historical insight generation for management and investors.

This role will also work closely with Group Finance Business Partner FP&A, tax advisors, and auditors to deliver high-quality financial outcomes and drive continuous improvements in different financial environment that spans different countries or legal territories.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified chartered accountant from a large, global Practice firm with a few years' post qualification experience, having worked with global clients (ideally PE backed groups), and a strong technical IFRS knowledge and be at a similar level role in a Global business now. Candidates must have multi-country consolidation and multi-currency experience to be considered.
