Role Description The Finance Assistant role at Scada Bay is a full-time, on-site position based in WP, Kuala Lumpur. The Finance Assistant will support daily finance and accounting operations, including preparing and processing invoices, recording transactions, and assisting with accounts payable and receivable. The role will involve reconciling bank statements, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting month-end and year-end closing activities. The Finance Assistant will help prepare basic financial reports, assist with budgeting and forecasting tasks, and ensure compliance with internal controls and financial procedures. The role will also require regular communication with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve billing issues, clarify payment details, and support smooth financial workflows.
Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Finance and Accounting, with an understanding of basic bookkeeping principles and financial documentation.
  • Proficiency in Invoicing processes, including issuing, tracking, and reconciling invoices accurately and on time.
  • Solid Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, identify discrepancies, and support budgeting and reporting activities.
  • Effective Communication skills to collaborate with colleagues, vendors, and clients, and to present financial information clearly.
  • Experience with accounting software and spreadsheets (e.g., Excel or similar tools) and good numerical accuracy.
  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • High attention to detail, strong organization, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to work on-site in WP, Kuala Lumpur and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams.
