Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer (IP Services Engineer) to join our team in Kuala Lumpur. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, monitoring, and managing enterprise-level network infrastructure. This role involves both project-based work and BAU (Business-As-Usual) operations, ensuring high availability, performance, and security of network systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure network infrastructure.
- Manage end-to-end network project deployments, including application migration.
- Install, configure, and support network equipment such as routers, switches, and Infoblox DDI (DNS, DHCP, IPAM).
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal functionality.
- Handle Incident, Problem, and Change Management for WAN/LAN and security infrastructure.
- Lead and manage high-critical incident calls involving cross-functional teams (OS, Middleware, DB, Application teams).
- Perform root cause analysis and provide detailed reporting for production issues.
- Ensure all audit requirements are met and vulnerabilities are addressed with proper sign-offs.
- Maintain accurate documentation including:
- Network diagrams
- Inventory (physical & logical)
- Traffic flow
- Troubleshooting and operational procedures
- Identify areas of improvement and implement permanent fixes to recurring issues.
- Drive service improvement initiatives focused on stability and risk mitigation.
- Collaborate with global teams across multiple time zones and support shift-based operations.
- Provide technical direction for system migrations and integrations.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders and clients, providing expert technical guidance.
- Ensure adherence to SLAs, KPIs, and service delivery standards.
- Utilize automation and scripting to enhance operational efficiency.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in network engineering and infrastructure management.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Infoblox DDI (DNS, DHCP, IPAM)
- Routers and switches
- WAN/LAN technologies
- Experience in network automation and scripting.
- Proven experience managing large-scale network deployments and migrations.
- Strong understanding of incident, problem, and change management processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in multinational/global teams.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage complex environments and adapt to changing priorities.
