Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Assist in implementing company safety, health, environmental policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Conduct routine workplace safety inspections and identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and environmental concerns.
  • Follow up and track corrective actions for safety, health, and environmental findings until closure.
  • Assist in emergency preparedness activities, including fire drills, evacuation exercises, emergency equipment inspections, and emergency response readiness.
  • Support occupational health programs by coordinating medical surveillance, health monitoring, PPE issuance, and workplace hygiene activities.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly inspections of emergency equipment, eyewash stations, spill kits, and safety facilities.
  • Assist in hazardous chemical management, including chemical inventory updates, SDS management, labeling verification, and chemical storage inspections.
  • Monitor scheduled waste management activities, including waste segregation, storage area inspections, labeling, and documentation.
  • Support environmental monitoring activities such as wastewater, air emission, noise, indoor air quality, and other regulatory monitoring programs.
  • Maintain EHS records, reports, permits, licenses, certificates, training records, and legal compliance documentation.
  • Assist in conducting EHS inductions, toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and awareness programs.
  • Participate in incident, near miss, and occupational injury investigations and assist in preparing investigation reports.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of ISO 14001 Environmental Management System and ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System.
  • Assist in collecting, compiling, and analyzing EHS data for monthly reports, KPI tracking, and management review meetings.
  • Monitor contractor safety activities and ensure compliance with company EHS requirements.
  • Participate in EHS risk assessments, HIRARC reviews, environmental aspect-impact assessments, and Management of Change (MOC) activities.
  • Conduct routine workplace patrols to ensure compliance with legal requirements, company standards, and customer EHS requirements.
  • Coordinate and support government inspections, audits, customer audits, and certification audits when required.
  • Assist in organizing quarterly EHS committee meetings and prepare meeting minutes and action item follow-up.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of the company's Radiation Protection Program, including routine inspections, monitoring activities, personnel dosimetry tracking, record keeping, and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing sustainability initiatives and environmental programs to support the company's ESG and sustainability objectives.
  • Maintain records and supporting documentation related to carbon footprint assessments, sustainability performance indicators, ESG reporting, and sustainability improvement projects.
  • Perform any other EHS-related duties assigned by the EHS Supervisor or Management.


ACADEMIC REQUIREMENT

  • Fresh graduate Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field with at least 1 year of EHS working experience in manufacturing environment.
  • Able to speak and written in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
