Job Description

Responsibilities

Our Vision: Healthier Ecologies

We deliver on this promise through genuine transdisciplinary design. At PAB Architecture Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur, our architects, health facility planners, interior designers, and landscape architects work as one integrated team to design resilient, sustainable places that elevate both human wellbeing and the environment.

About the role:

We are looking for a proactive Part 2 Design Architect who shares this vision and is passionate about great design, context-driven solutions, and well-crafted detailing.

As a full-time Design Architect, you will play a crucial role bridging the gap between conceptual design and technical execution. Your primary focus will be on core architectural works and commercial interior projects, contributing to sustainable and healthier built environments for the communities we serve.

Key responsibilities:

  1. Drive Design Development: work closely with the senior architects in developing design concepts and project implementation processes, in alignment with client briefs and project goals.
  2. Prepare Documentation: Prepare architectural drawings, models, research, and documents to support design development and presentations.
  3. Contribute to Innovation: Contributing to the development and implementation of innovative design solutions.
  4. Project Ownership: Take ownership of aspects of the project and design challenges under the guidance of the project lead.
  5. Transdisciplinary Coordination: Collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project coordination and successful execution.

What we're looking for:

  1. At least 2-4 years of architectural experience, particularly in bespoke residential and hospitality projects.
  2. Proficiency in architectural design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suites, alongside good graphics skills.
  3. Working knowledge of Revit and Grasshopper will be an advantage. (We provide on-the-job Revit training for candidates willing to learn).
  4. An independent critical thinker with strong analytical thinking skills and creative problem-solving abilities.
  5. Curious, collaborative, willing and able to express your thoughts.
  6. A proactive, solution-oriented approach with the ability to meet deadlines and adapt to direction.
  7. A genuine passion for architecture and sustainable design solutions.

If you are passionate in making a difference in creating healthier ecologies for people and planet, we'd love to hear from you.
