Job Description

Responsibilities

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate and monitor the daily operations of housekeeping, linen, pest control, waste management, security services and other support services.
  • Conduct routine inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, security and service quality standards are maintained throughout the hospital.
  • Liaise with outsourced service providers and follow up on operational issues, service requests and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor the performance of housekeeping, security, linen, pest control and waste management vendors to ensure compliance with contractual requirements and hospital standards.
  • Handle and resolve complaints related to support services in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist in the investigation and follow-up of incidents related to safety, security and support services operations.
  • Prepare reports, maintain records and monitor departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Assist in regulatory audits, accreditation exercises and compliance requirements.
  • Support the development, implementation and review of departmental policies, SOPs and operational workflows.
  • Monitor inventory and utilisation of housekeeping and linen supplies.
  • Coordinate departmental meetings, training programmes and service improvement projects.
  • Work closely with various departments to ensure smooth hospital operations and a positive patient experience.

REQUIREMENT

  • Diploma or Degree in Healthcare Management, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Minimum 1–3 years of working experience in healthcare, hospitality, facilities management or support services operations.
  • Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience in hospital operations, vendor management, security management or accreditation processes will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of scheduled waste management, environmental compliance and workplace safety requirements is preferred.
  • Candidates certified as a Scheduled Waste Competent Person (CePSWaM) or with relevant experience in scheduled waste management will have an added advantage.
