1. Site Management and Supervision
- Supervise installation activities such as:
- Mounting structure installation
- Solar panel installation
- DC cable laying and termination
- Inverter installation
- Earthing and lightning protection systems
- Coordinate with site engineers, subcontractors, and technicians to ensure work progress meets the project schedule.
- Ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings, method statements, and safety procedures.
2. Technical Coordination
- Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers, and contractors regarding technical matters.
- Resolve technical issues at site related to installation, equipment, or design discrepancies.
- Coordinate material deliveries, inspections, and testing of equipment.
3. Documentation and Compliance
- Prepare and manage project documentation including:
- Method Statements
- Inspection Test Plans (ITP)
- Progress reports
- NCR responses and corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with local electrical standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.
4. Testing and Commissioning
- Participate in system testing and commissioning, including:
- Insulation resistance testing
- String testing
- Inverter commissioning
- Grid synchronization
- Verify system performance and ensure the solar plant operates according to design capacity and efficiency requirements.
5. Project Monitoring and Reporting
- Track project progress, installation quality, and resource utilization.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for management and clients.
- Identify potential delays or risks and propose mitigation actions.
- Coordinate with design engineers, consultants, and clients to ensure accurate system layout and installation plans.
- Assist in preparing Single Line Diagrams (SLD), cable schedules, inverter layouts, and earthing designs.
- Evaluate site conditions, shading analysis, and structural requirements for solar installations.
