As we continue to scale, we seek an APAC FP&A Manager to join our HQ in Singapore. This role will be instrumental in building a strong FP&A framework that enhances financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis to deliver strategic insights and drive exceptional business outcomes.
Position Overview
The APAC FP&A Manager will play a critical role in shaping and driving profitability across the region, with a strong focus on New Product Development (NPD) initiatives, and end-to-end Product, Category, and Channel profitability.
In addition to core FP&A responsibilities, this role will act as a commercial finance partner, working closely with cross-functional stakeholders including Market Heads of Finance, Commercial, Product, and Supply Chain teams to build a robust, actionable profitability framework.
This individual will be expected to translate complex data into clear insights, influence decision-making, and actively drive margin improvement conversations across the business.
The role is hands-on, managing an analyst while maintaining direct ownership of analysis, modeling, and insight generation.
Here are some of the EXCITING things you will get to do:
- Own and drive a holistic profitability view across Product, Category, and Channel.
- Generate actionable insights to guide strategic decisions and accelerate growth initiatives.
- Lead development of standardized profitability frameworks and dashboards.
- Own and lead regional end-to-end margin optimization initiatives.
- Partner with Product and Commercial teams to evaluate NPD business cases.
- Establish financial guardrails for NPD investments including target margins, payback, and ROI.
- Track and review actual performance vs business cases for accountability.
- Work closely with Market Heads of Finance to align profitability views across markets.
- Influence pricing, promotion, and channel strategy discussions.
- Manage and coach an analyst while being hands-on in modeling and analysis.
- Design and maintain KPIs, dashboards, and financial models including product, category, and channel profitability tracking.
- Prepare comprehensive business review presentations for senior leadership.
- Assess risks and opportunities, recommending proactive measures to ensure financial stability and growth.
- Ensure adherence to corporate policies and compliance with local regulatory requirements.
- Champion continuous improvement in FP&A processes, tools, and systems.
- Ensure timely and accurate regional reporting in alignment with SharkNinja APAC Business Calendar standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- At least 5-8 years of relevant work experience in Finance/ Accounting.
- Strong track record of partnering with the business in driving growth plans, managing forecasts, anticipating risks and opportunities.
- Previous experience with budgeting & forecasting, full P&L analysis & reconciliation.
- Strong self-leadership & self-management. Able to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced work environment with minimal supervision.
- Able to learn quickly & increase work independence.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills demonstrated ability to partner cross functionally.
- Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships in a fast-changing environment with multiple customers and evaluators.
- Highly visible role with the ability to effectively partner with and/or challenge senior leadership.
- Comfortable presentation with strong financial acumen & business understanding
- Ability to analyze large & complex data sets and translate into actionable information.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task, be detailed-oriented and ability to meet required timelines.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel / Office skills required, especially the need to have exceptional modeling skills in Excel.
