Responsibilities

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced QA Manager with strong domain expertise in insurance (Life, General, or Health) to lead end-to-end quality assurance initiatives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving test strategy, managing QA teams, ensuring high-quality deliverables, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders across complex projects.


Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in the insurance domain with proven experience in a QA Manager role.
  • Strong expertise in end-to-end test management, including planning, execution, and governance across SIT, UAT, and regression cycles
  • Proven experience in defect lifecycle management, including triage, root cause analysis, and resolution tracking across multiple teams and vendors.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage business users, IT teams, vendors, and senior leadership.
  • Hands-on experience in risk assessment, quality governance, and publishing test metrics, dashboards, and release readiness reports.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile /waterfall delivery models.
  • Experience in resource planning, effort estimation, and managing QA for large-scale or complex programs.
  • Ability to define and enforce test strategies, standards, and best practices.
  • Proven leadership in managing cross-functional and distributed QA teams.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement test strategies and test plans aligned with project objectives.
  • Drive quality metrics, and reporting dashboards for leadership visibility.
  • Estimate testing and retesting efforts, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Oversee end-to-end test execution across multiple projects.
  • Manage the defect lifecycle process, including tracking, prioritization, and resolution.
  • Monitor defect leakage trends and perform root cause analysis.
  • Ensure timely defect resolution in collaboration with development teams.
  • Manage third-party vendors and ensure adherence to SLAs.
  • Communicate risks, issues, and mitigation plans to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) coordination and governance.
  • Ensure business users are well-prepared with test scenarios, test cases, and test data.
  • Manage and govern change requests during UAT.
  • Ensure quality signoffs meet defined standards before release.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop QA team members.
  • Identify project risks related to quality, timelines, and dependencies.
  • Define mitigation and contingency plans, and escalate issues to Senior QA Manager / Project Manager when required.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor / Master Degree 
  • Experience in insurance systems, policy, or claims platforms. 
  • Certification in ISTQB / Agile / PMP / Prince 2 (preferred but not mandatory)
