Job Summary
We seek a disciplined IT Support Engineer to deliver structured troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and multi-platform IT environment support, advancing professional IT engineering careers with operational responsibility.
Responsibilities
- Provide structured technical support for Windows and macOS endpoints, servers, mobile devices, and networking equipment to ensure system reliability
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues using systematic troubleshooting methods to minimize downtime
- Perform root-cause analysis and implement preventive or permanent fixes to improve system stability
- Support IT environments running on Windows, Linux, and Unix platforms to maintain cross-platform functionality
- Work independently on assigned incidents while collaborating on complex issues to ensure timely resolution
- Escalate issues with clear technical documentation and analysis to facilitate effective problem-solving
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, resolutions, and system changes for audit and knowledge management
- Participate in rotating shifts and after-hours support to provide continuous IT service availability
Required competencies and certifications
- At least 1 year of hands-on IT support experience or strong fundamentals for high-caliber fresh graduates (ITE, Poly, Uni)
- Solid understanding of hardware, operating systems, and networking fundamentals to support IT infrastructure
- Practical knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and basic routing/switching concepts for network troubleshooting
- Proven ability to troubleshoot issues with limited or incomplete information to resolve complex problems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills applied to IT support scenarios
- Clear and professional communication skills in English (spoken and written) to interact with stakeholders
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and follow operational procedures to meet service levels
- Willingness to work rotating shifts and on-call support to maintain IT operations
- Able to start immediately or within short notice to meet staffing needs
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Basic programming or scripting knowledge (HTML, JavaScript, Node.js) to automate tasks and support development
- Exposure to database administration or backend systems to enhance troubleshooting capabilities
- Experience supporting small to mid-scale production environments to handle real-world IT challenges
