Job Title: Discipline Support Officer

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Discipline Support Officer(DSO) to support the school’s Student Management team in maintaining discipline, ensuring a safe environment, and fostering positive student development. The role focuses on supervision, engagement, and structured behavioural support within a school setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct campus supervision and patrols during school hours (canteen, sports hall, transitions)
• Monitor latecomers, manage records, and support detention processes
• Assist with student discipline cases, including investigations and incident reporting
• Support in-house suspension and behavioural follow-up activities
• Supervise detention sessions and facilitate restorative activities for students
• Maintain and manage discipline-related data and documentation

Requirements

• Prior experience in uniformed services (e.g., Police, Prison Service) preferred
• Strong communication, conflict management, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle student behaviour with firmness and empathy
• Good judgement, professionalism, and discretion
• Basic data entry and Excel skills for reporting and documentation
