Role Overview
The Driver will be responsible for safely transporting engineers, technicians, and heavy equipment to shipyards and operational sites. This role requires a Class 3/4 driver’s license and handle heavy-duty vehicles while ensuring punctuality, safety, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
Transport Operations: Drive engineers, technicians, and auxiliary equipment to shipyards and service locations.
Heavy Equipment Delivery: Safely load, secure, and deliver heavy machinery and tools required for robotic hull-cleaning operations.
Scheduling & Coordination: Follow daily transport schedules and remain on standby mode during working hours for urgent deployments.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to road safety regulations, company policies, and maritime site entry requirements.
Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct routine checks and basic upkeep of assigned vehicles to ensure operational readiness.
Support Operations: Assist logistics and operations teams with equipment handling when required.
Requirements:
Valid Class 3/4 driver’s license.
Proven experience driving heavy vehicles and transporting equipment.
Strong knowledge of road safety.
Handle heavy equipment loading/unloading.
Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
Responsible and disciplined driving habits.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Customer-oriented mindset when interacting with shipyard staff and engineers.
