We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting regulations, and providing accurate financial information to support the company's decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Reporting:Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
   Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
   
2. Accounts Payable and Receivable:Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoicing, collections, and payment processing.
   Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
   
3. General Ledger:Maintain the general ledger by posting and verifying transactions.
   Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements and other accounts.
   
4. Budgeting and Forecasting:Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
   Monitor actual performance against budget and report variances.
   
5. Tax Compliance:Prepare and file tax returns in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
   Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
   
6. Audit and Internal Controls:Coordinate with external auditors during audits and provide necessary documentation and support.
   Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.
   
7. Financial Analysis:Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
   Provide financial insights and recommendations to management.
   
8. Team Collaboration:Work closely with other departments to gather financial information and support company initiatives.
   Mentor and support junior accounting staff as needed.
   

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software (i.e., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Working Conditions:

• Office environment with occasional travel as required.
• Flexibility to work extended hours during peak periods, such as month-end and year-end close.
