Job Description

Responsibilities

The Role

The Network Engineer will be responsible for theadministration, monitoring, maintenance, and operational support of theenterprise network infrastructure across multiple sites. The role includesnetwork monitoring, incident and problem management, network troubleshooting,change implementation, vulnerability remediation, patch management, andinfrastructure lifecycle activities to ensure the availability, security, andperformance of the network environment. The successful candidate will supportrouters, switches, firewalls, and load balancing technologies whilecontributing to service improvements, operational excellence, and compliancewith established standards and procedures.

Responsibilities

•       Monitorand maintain enterprise network infrastructure, including routers, switches,firewalls, and load balancers.

•       Performnetwork troubleshooting, fault isolation, incident resolution, and root causeanalysis (RCA).

•       Manageand support network operations, including proactive health checks, performancemonitoring, and capacity management.

•       Implementnetwork configuration changes, upgrades, patching, and technology refreshactivities.

•       Supportfirewall administration, security policy implementation, vulnerabilityremediation, and compliance activities.

•       Performpatch and vulnerability management activities to ensure network devices remainsecure and compliant.

•       Participatein incident, problem, change, and release management processes in accordancewith established procedures.

•       Maintainnetwork asset inventories, configuration records, network diagrams, SOPs, andoperational documentation.

•       Prepareoperational reports, performance reports, incident reports, and service-relateddocumentation.

•       Coordinatewith internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure timely resolution ofnetwork issues.

•       Supportproject implementation, migration, enhancement, and infrastructure lifecycleactivities as required.

•       Participatein standby support and scheduled maintenance activities outside of office hourswhen required.

Requirements

•        Diploma or Degree in Information Technology,Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.

•        Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience innetwork administration, operations, and troubleshooting.

•        Strong experience supporting Cisco networkenvironments, including routers and switches.

•        Good understanding of TCP/IP, routing,switching, VLANs, and network security concepts.

•        Experience in network monitoring, incidentmanagement, and change implementation.

•        Experience performing network upgrades,patching, and maintenance activities.

•        Familiarity with network monitoring andmanagement tools.

•        Experience working within ITIL-based operationalenvironments.

Preferred Skills

•        Experience with Palo Alto Firewalls.

•        Experience with Check Point Firewalls.

•        Experience with F5 Load Balancers.

•        Experience in vulnerability management andsecurity compliance activities.

•        Experience supporting large-scale enterprise orgovernment environments.
