Role Overview
We are seeking a Service Desk Engineer to provide first-level IT support to end users and ensure smooth day-to-day IT operations. The role involves troubleshooting hardware, software, network, and remote access issues while delivering excellent customer service.
This position requires communication with Mandarin-speaking users through phone calls, emails, and ticketing systems. Candidates should be comfortable providing technical assistance in both English and Mandarin.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-level technical support via phone, email, chat, and ticketing systems.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to desktops, laptops, VDI, and end-user computing devices.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, network connectivity, and VPN-related issues.
- Support Active Directory administration, including user account and access management.
- Perform remote troubleshooting using Remote Desktop and other support tools.
- Log, track, and manage incidents and service requests according to SLA requirements.
- Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate support teams when necessary.
- Provide workarounds and solutions to minimize business disruption.
- Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, resolutions, and support activities.
- Deliver excellent customer service and ensure high levels of end-user satisfaction.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in Service Desk, Helpdesk, Desktop Support, or Technical Support.
- Strong knowledge of end-user computing devices, including desktops, laptops, and VDI environments.
- Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, VPN, and network connectivity issues.
- Hands-on experience with Active Directory administration and desktop support.
- Experience supporting VMware and VDI environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with Remote Desktop and remote support tools.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
Work Location: In person
