Job Description

Responsibilities

Food Production

  • Plan and supervise daily food production according to outlet requirements.
  • Ensure all food products are prepared consistently following approved recipes and SOPs.
  • Monitor food quality, taste, portioning, and presentation standards.
  • Ensure production targets are achieved within the required timeline.

Quality Assurance & Food Safety

  • Ensure compliance with HALAL, HACCP, GMP, MeSTI, and company food safety requirements.
  • Conduct regular quality checks on raw materials and finished products.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the production kitchen.
  • Ensure proper food handling, storage, and stock rotation (FIFO).

Inventory & Cost Control

  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate ingredient ordering.
  • Minimize food wastage and control production costs.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and stock reconciliation.
  • Ensure proper usage of ingredients and equipment.

Staff Management

  • Supervise and train production kitchen staff.
  • Prepare work schedules and assign daily tasks.
  • Monitor staff performance and ensure compliance with SOPs.
  • Foster teamwork and maintain a productive working environment.

Operational Improvement

  • Review and improve production processes for efficiency.
  • Assist in menu development, recipe standardization, and product improvement.
  • Coordinate with Operations, Purchasing, Warehouse, and Outlet Teams regarding production requirements.
  • Ensure all kitchen equipment is maintained and functioning properly.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma or Certificate in Food Production, or related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a central kitchen, food manufacturing, catering, or high-volume food production environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, HALAL requirements, and kitchen operations.
  • Good leadership and team management skills.
  • Knowledge of inventory management and food costing.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office and inventory systems) is an advantage.

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
