Occupational Therapist – Locum / Part-Time Basis

VeeSpeech Therapy Centre is a child-centred therapy centre located in Aman Suria, Petaling Jaya. We provide paediatric speech therapy, occupational therapy, and related developmental support services for children and families.

We are currently looking for an Occupational Therapist to collaborate with us on a locum or part-time basis.

Responsibilities:

• Provide occupational therapy assessment and intervention for paediatric clients.
• Support children with sensory processing, fine motor skills, gross motor skills, handwriting readiness, self-regulation, daily living skills, and play skills.
• Prepare therapy plans based on each child’s needs and functional goals.
• Communicate professionally with parents regarding the child’s progress and therapy recommendations.
• Maintain proper documentation, including session notes and relevant progress updates.
• Work collaboratively with the speech therapist and other professionals when needed.
• Provide practical home strategies for parents to support carryover outside therapy sessions.

Requirements:

• Recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy.
• Experience working with children is preferred.
• Able to work independently and manage therapy sessions professionally.
• Good communication skills with children, parents, and team members.
• Responsible, punctual, and committed to ethical clinical practice.
• Weekend availability will be an advantage.
