About the Role



This position is responsible for overseeing the efficient and timely delivery of products from the warehouse to customers, distributors, or retail outlets. The role focuses on optimizing outbound logistics processes, reducing costs, and ensuring a high level of service quality.



Responsibilities



  • Plan, implement, and manage outbound transportation and distribution strategies
  • Ensure timely delivery of products to customers, distributors, and retailers
  • Coordinate with Inbound, Warehouse, and Sales Teams for smooth order fulfillment
  • Identify opportunities to reduce logistics costs while maintaining service quality
  • Implement best practices for route planning, load optimization, and fleet utilization
  • Continuously analyze KPIs such as on-time delivery, transportation costs, and shipment accuracy
  • Lead and mentor the outbound logistics team
  • Ensure clear communication and coordination between internally and third-party logistics partners
  • Negotiate contracts and rates with transport providers
  • Monitor performance of external logistics partners and ensure compliance with SLAs
  • Build strong relationships with customers to address delivery issues and enhance satisfaction
  • Key interface between numerous parties to proactively take action that deliver business results
  • Ensure compliance with local, regional, and international transportation regulations
  • Maintain safety standards for handling, storage, and transportation of goods
  • Prepare regular reports on delivery performance, costs, and operational metrics.
  • Use data analytics to forecast demand, optimize routes, and improve outbound efficiency.



Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s degree in any stream with Supply Chain Management/ Logistics Management/ Business or related field equivalent combination of education and work experience in the logistics industry
  • Minimum of 5 years experiences in FMCG (Foods and Home Care)
  • 5-8 years of experience in logistics/transportation management, with at least 2-3 years in outbound operations



Required Skills



  • Strong knowledge of transportation modes, distribution processes, and warehouse management
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, SAP, MicroStrategy, Warehouse Management System, Transport Management
  • Excellent in Excel with strong skills in Analytical, Decision Making and Problem Solving
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to optimize team performance and development
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral, and interpersonal skills with the ability to form and maintain good relationships internally and externally
  • Project management skill
  • Should be a good team player
