Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Audit Associate (JB) role based in Petaling Jaya. The Audit Associate will assist in planning and executing financial audits for a portfolio of clients, including performing substantive testing, walkthroughs, and control assessments. The role involves reviewing financial statements and supporting schedules, identifying variances or issues, and documenting audit findings in line with firm methodologies and applicable standards. The Audit Associate will liaise with clients to obtain necessary information, clarify queries, and support timely completion of audit assignments. The role also includes preparing working papers, assisting in drafting audit reports, and collaborating with team members and supervisors to ensure quality and compliance.
Qualifications
  • Strong foundation in auditing and financial audits, with the ability to apply relevant standards and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of finance and financial statements, including the ability to interpret and analyze key components.
  • Well-developed analytical skills to identify issues, assess risks, and propose practical recommendations.
  • Relevant degree or professional qualification (e.g., Accounting, Finance, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent in progress).
  • Attention to detail, good documentation skills, and proficiency with common office and accounting software.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with clients and team members at various levels.
  • Ability to work on-site in Petaling Jaya, manage deadlines, and handle multiple assignments responsibly.
