About The Job
The AML and CFT Compliance Officer and Senior AML and CFT Compliance Officer are the key positions that monitor and support the overall AML/CFT/CPF Compliance portfolio i.e. governance, AML BAU, AML training & awareness and AML/CFT/CPF Compliance Programme in ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements and the Company's internal standards relating to AML/CFT/CPF and TFS.
(i) AML and CFT Compliance Officer
- Provide support and assistance in overall AML/CFT/CPF Compliance portfolio i.e. governance, AML BAU, AML training & awareness and AML/CFT/CPF Compliance Programme to ensure internal standards are met against regulations and group/internal guidelines, policies as well as operating processes.
- Undertake analysis of higher risk parties and transactions including performing transaction monitoring, review on Fact Find (FF) form and internal Suspicious Transaction Reports (iSTRs). Undertake periodic review and assessment of AML/CFT/CPF Compliance Programme.
- Ensure accurate & timely reporting of STRs to Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) and maintenance of up-to-date and effective database of STR cases for reporting purposes and to provide prompt feedbacks to relevant regulators, as and when required.
- Maintain AML/CFT/CPF related publications and internal watchlist.
- Undertake periodic review and assessment of AML/CFT/CPF Compliance Programme.
- Assist in preparing statistics and providing updates for reporting to the Management i.e. Board of Directors, Board Risk Management Committee, Senior Management, Financial Crime Committee, Group AML/CFT Compliance, etc.
- Undertake ad-hoc projects as assigned by superior(s)
(ii) Senior AML and CFT Compliance Officer
- Provide support in the overall AML/CFT/CPF Compliance portfolio i.e. governance, AML BAU, AML training & awareness and AML/CFT/CPF Compliance Programme to ensure internal standards are met against regulations and group/internal guidelines, policies as well as operating processes.

- Assist in developing and reviewing AML/CFT/CPF training materials and conducting AML/CFT/CPF training / briefing.
- Assist in preparing statistics and providing updates for reporting to the Management i.e. Board of Directors, Board Risk Management Committee, Senior Management, Financial Crime Committee, Group AML/CFT Compliance, etc.
- Assist in identifying and assessing the compliance risks particularly ML/TF/PF risks associated with the Company current and proposed future business activities, including the development of new business practices, the proposed establishment of new types of business or customer relationships, or material changes in the nature of such relationships.
- Provide compliance advisory to the management & business units on the applicable laws, regulation, rules and standards and the implementation of the relevant provisions.
- Undertake ad-hoc projects as assigned by Head of Department, Group Chief Risk Officer (GCRO) and Board Risk Management Committee (BRMC).
- Undertake ad-hoc projects as assigned by superior(s).

- Take initiative to improve current state of things and adaptable to embrace new changes
(i) AML and CFT Compliance Officer
- Possess a Tertiary or professional qualification in Accountancy / Law / Insurance (FLMI, FMII etc).
- Fresh graduate or 1 – 3 years of working experience in AML/CFT/CPF / compliance; preferably insurance or banking industry.
(ii) Senior AML and CFT Compliance Officer
- Possess a Tertiary or professional qualification in Accountancy / Law / Insurance (FLMI, FMII etc).
- At least 3 - 5 years of working experience in AML/CFT/CPF / compliance / internal audit; preferably insurance or banking industry.
