Ambition Hiring! Full Time Director, Cloud Infrastructure - Platform Engineering (Payments) in - Ricebowl

Our client, a leading Payments and FinTech organization, is looking for a Director, Cloud Infrastructure & Platform Engineering to lead the strategy, architecture, modernization, security, and operations of its cloud platforms.

This leadership role will be responsible for defining the cloud roadmap, driving platform engineering best practices, and building scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructure that supports high-volume payment processing and mission-critical financial services applications.

The successful candidate will lead cloud transformation initiatives across AWS and multi-cloud environments, oversee cloud security, operational resilience, infrastructure governance, network architecture, and platform modernization efforts.

You will drive Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation), Kubernetes and container platforms, automation, CI/CD, observability, and cloud-native engineering practices while ensuring compliance with regulatory and security requirements.

Working closely with Engineering, Product, Security, Data, Risk, and Executive Leadership teams, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of platforms supporting real-time payments, APIs, distributed systems, and digital financial services.

Key Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in Cloud Infrastructure, Platform Engineering, Infrastructure Architecture, or Technology Leadership roles.
• Proven leadership experience managing cloud infrastructure and platform engineering teams.
• Deep expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, CloudFormation, cloud networking, and cloud-native architectures.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, infrastructure governance, operational resilience, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
• Experience designing and operating highly available, fault-tolerant platforms in Payments, FinTech, Banking, Financial Services, or other regulated environments.
• Familiarity with MAS TRM, PCI-DSS, ISO27001, SOC2, DORA, or similar regulatory frameworks.
• Strong stakeholder management, vendor management, budgeting, and technology roadmap experience.
• AWS certifications and exposure to AI infrastructure or next-generation cloud technologies will be advantageous
