Biel Crystal Innovation Technology Limited Hiring! Full Time R-D - Optics Engineer - Senior Optics Engineer in New Territories, Hong Kong - Ricebowl

Optical-related issues in this team will be attributed to the engineer, including:

• Nano-optics illumination & imaging system design and simulation using commercial software.

• Developed simulation tools for nano-optics through programming.

• Support in solving optical-related problems and conducting failure analysis.

• Support for establishing the testing system for the optical components, where applicable.

• Development of intellectual property and patent applications, where applicable.

The qualified candidates who fulfill more requirements below will be considered as higher priority.

The optical engineer better have:

• Bachelor/Master/PhD degree in Optical Engineering, Applied Optics, Physics, or relevant STEM-related disciplines.

• At least 3 years of practical experience in imaging optics or machine vision hardware related work, including industrial cameras, lenses, and lighting systems; experience in inspection or measurement projects is preferred. Fresh university graduates with strong relevant projects are also welcome to apply.

• Strong knowledge and research experience in nano-optics, e.g., diffractive / wave optics / AR/VR.

• Knowledge in using commercial software, e.g., RSoft, LightTools, Lumerical FDTD, Zemax, CodeV,  Virtuallab Fusion, etc.

• Experience in constructing optical systems.

• Technical problem-solving skills.

• Programming in MATLAB, C, C++, C# and Python languages is a plus.

• Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, organizational ability, and a proactive attitude. Comfortable working in a fast-paced team environment and under pressure when needed.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present research findings effectively

• Prior experience in RD roles, in industry or academic settings.

• Can-do attitude, commitment, and pride in delivering high-quality work;

• Willingness to undertake any other duties assigned by the company from time to time. 

• Ability and willingness to travel to Huizhou factory occasionally when necessary;

• Candidate with less experience will be considered as Engineer.

• Immediate availability is highly preferred
