Senior Systems Analyst (Mobile Banking System-in charge)

Our client is a Wholesale Banking technology organisation focused on digital transformation, bringing together traditional banking systems and modern cloud-native architecture to deliver mobile banking solutions. In this role, you’ll provide technical leadership across system architecture, mobile feature development, and end-to-end delivery—helping ensure secure, scalable, high-performance applications that meet relevant standards.

Role Overview:
As a Senior Systems Analyst, you’ll lead the development and infrastructure orchestration for the mobile banking platform, acting as a key bridge between banking stakeholders, platform teams, and offshore delivery to drive successful integration and delivery.

Key Skills & Experience:
• 10+ years of hands-on software development experience
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Java-related software development
• Proven leadership experience managing distributed or offshore teams
• Core Java/JEE experience (JEE, Servlet, JSP, WAS/WebLogic)
• Mobile technology experience (HTML5, JavaScript ES6+, React Native)
• Hands-on experience with Alibaba Cloud and Alibaba mPaaS (Mobile Gateway, MDS, MAS)
• Knowledge of Oracle ODBX (Oracle Digital Banking Experience)

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide expert guidance on system architecture, including integration between Alibaba Cloud infrastructure, mPaaS middleware, and Oracle ODBX
• Lead the development of mobile features using HTML5 and JavaScript within the mPaaS container, ensuring seamless backend API interaction
• Lead and mentor multiple application development teams, including conducting code reviews and ensuring SDLC compliance and quality standards
• Coordinate technical alignment between Wholesale Banking applications and the Oracle ODBX digital banking platform
• Act as the primary technical point of contact for vendors and overseas/China offshore development teams to ensure delivery quality
• Solicit user requirements from the Wholesale Banking division and translate them into technical specifications and system designs
• Participate across the full development lifecycle, from initial design and environment setup on Alibaba Cloud through deployment and post-production support
• Oversee application support, troubleshooting, and continuous update of technical documentation to ensure audit readiness

Requirements:
• University graduate, preferably in Computer Science or a related discipline
• Right to work for the Asia region is required (role is an Asia contract)
• Minimum 10+ years hands-on software development experience
• Minimum 3 years in Java-related software development
• Demonstrated experience leading distributed or offshore teams
• Ability to work on-site

Nice to Have (Optional):
• Experience with Oracle RDBMS and PL/SQL
• Experience with Unix shell scripting, Eclipse, Git, Jenkins, and MQ
• Experience in Wholesale/Corporate Banking workflows (Payments, Trade Finance, etc.)
